The art of writing (yes writing with your hand – what’s that?) is becoming a long lost art form. I remember pouring over letters I would get from pen pals all over the world. Even as an adult, I did Post Crossing, for awhile. There is just something so MAGICAL about getting mail – that is not bills and not email. Face it emails aren’t really poetic and are an everyday occurrence for most of us.

You’ve probably seen Colleen’s Creative Clips without even knowing it… they adorn the adorable heads of some of the hottest babies and some of our favorite toddlers (eh hem, yes that is Violet Affleck there sporting a Creative Clip)! Our daughter has very fine hair and most clips slip right out. I know this is a problem for many moms. We were so excited that when our daughter wore the Creative Clip it stayed in all day! Let me tell you, she usually pulls out every clip we put in her hair, but she left in these clips, they did not bother her at all! Even though the rest of her hair was a mess from playing her clip was in the same place we put it in the morning. We were astounded and ecstatic because we’ve finally found a clip that actually stays in, holds up through playtime and is super cute. Not to mention that there are so many designs and colors there is bound to be something that will match your cuties wardrobe.

As with any party picking a theme is essential, it gives you a direction to go in. For a Girls Night In with my friends I choose to have a SPA night to RELAX . Plus what mom doesn’t need some pampering? You don’t have to go over the top when throwing a party, it can be done with ease. Putting up some cute decor around the house that goes with your theme is always fun for you and your guests.

Yes, we know it’s ‘only’ Halloween but have you seen the Christmas décor creeping out?! You know that you have holiday tunes running through your head already. Our kid is singing “We wish you a Merry Christmas” and talking about what Santa HAS to bring her (Yikes!). So, it is time to get a jump on the Holiday cards – I know I do not want to be rushing around getting out cards at the last minute, or feeling guilty that I didn’t do it at all. This year we decided to use Shutterfly. Why?! Well we’ve tried various other sites, local and online companies to create our Christmas cards – but we were excited with what Shutterfly had to offer in the way of designs and ease of use this year.
FDA Warning: Hyland’s Teething Tablets may pose risk to children

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration today is warning consumers that Hyland’s Teething Tablets may pose a risk to children. The FDA recommends that consumers not use this product and dispose of any in their possession. The manufacturer is issuing a recall of this product.
Hyland’s Teething Tablets are manufactured to contain a small amount of belladonna, a substance that can cause serious harm at larger doses. For such a product, it is important that the amount of belladonna be carefully controlled. FDA laboratory analysis, however, has found that Hyland’s Teething Tablets contain inconsistent amounts of belladonna. In addition, the FDA has received reports of serious adverse events in children taking this product that are consistent with belladonna toxicity. The FDA has also received reports of children who consumed more tablets than recommended, because the containers do not have child resistant caps.

Four Infant Strangulation DEATHS=2 Million Graco strollers RECALLED…Is yours one of them?

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), in cooperation with Graco Children’s Products Inc., of Atlanta, Ga., is announcing the recall of about 2 million Graco strollers due to risk of entrapment and strangulation. CPSC and Graco have received four reports of infant strangulations that occurred in these strollers between 2003 and 2005. In addition, CPSC is aware of five reports of infants becoming entrapped, resulting in cuts and bruises, and one report of an infant having difficulty breathing.
