What would you do with a million dollars, tax free?
This question changes with age… at 10 I would of probably said buy 500 Barbie’s at 20 I would of probably said a house, car, clothes. Now at 30, I would pray about what God wanted me to use the money for.
We all wish for a million dollars, it can go far if you invest it correctly – but it’s not nearly the amount it use to be. I would contact a financial advisor and keep living my life the way I live it till I had a better grasp on what it means to have a million dollars. I would invest it so that I could have a future with that money and be able to use it for a greater good. I know rightttttttttttttt. No really, my greatest wish is always to help other people. I would pay off my friends debt if I could, I would save the neighbors house they are losing – I am just that person. I think of others before I think of myself, sometimes to my determent.
So back to what I would do with a million dollars:
I would pay off all our debt, we have no credit card debt (that’s another post but we live without credit cards, for 3 years now!).
I would pay off our house and cars, and student loans.
Set up a college fund for our daughter.
Pay for the best care for my ill mother.
Make sure all our immediate family basic needs were met.
Take a family vacation.
Invest the money and create a non-profit to help others in need.
I would like to start a movement like Love Drop. My heart aches for those that are losing their homes now, I know a lot of it is due to the way people handle their money, but really society teaches us to handle our money badly and I feel most people are victims in a vicious money cycle they don’t know how to break. I would love to make sure all people in the US have decent housing, everyone deserves a home! Then I would move on to other countries. Another passion of mine is reading, I would also make it a goal of mine to help make sure illiteracy is wiped clean and all children have access to books. In the end I would follow my heart and where God had guided me to use the money and try not to let society dictate how I should be if I had a million dollars.
