iloverobots Mechatars Review & Giveaway #CleverRobot #Spon

This toy is perfect for the little boy in your life (or girl who loves robots!). I had heard of iloverobots before and have seen some of their innovative other toys but Mechatars was a new term I hadn’t heard yet. Well, my 5 year old daughter had heard of them! My daughter promptly shouted I’ve seen those on TV they’re MECHATARS! Shows how much I know. So these toys are definitely already on your kids radar – Christmas anyone?!*

*HINT you can win one for your Christmas list below!

We recieved WREXX the red Mechatar. The kid reviewers (5 girl and 10 boy) loved Wrexx. There is a whole interactive online world and the kids kept begging for me to turn on the ‘Universe’ where the Mechatars learn new skills and how to battle against each other.

About Wrexx: “Descending from a long line of savage and warlike tribes, Wrexx lives his life for the fight. Wrexx is an unusually gifted warrior who can frequently score critical damage points, but he’s also a bit fiery and unpredictable.”

About the Mechaverse: “YEARS AGO, A GROUP OF HUMAN SCIENTISTS DISCOVERED AN INTER-GALACTIC RIFT BETWEEN THE EARTH AND THE MECHAVERSE, A DISTANT GALAXY NEVER BEFORE KNOWN TO HUMANKIND. THE MECHAVERSE IS HOME TO THE MECHATARS AS WELL AS AN ARRAY OF PLANT AND ANIMAL LIFE ON DOZENS OF PLANETS.”

These are like pokemon / backugan come to life! Which means they totally rock in the eyes of any tween boy.

PLUS =The Mechatar worked well on the tile AND carpet. The kids loved the battle noises, how easy the remove was to use and the fun way that the Mechatar moved.

If you have two+ children, I would definitely get 2! That way they can battle IRL (in real life… see I’m hip, down with the lingo) haha.  But they can also log into the universe and battle their friends. For older children it is easy enough to hook the USB cord into the robot and computer and they’re ready to go.

I even had fun battling the Mechatars, and had to beg my kids for a chance to test out Wrexx. He’s become part of the family, he ended up in my purse the other day and we had to show every person we saw how cool the Mechatar was. Every little boy who saw it was like “that is soooooo cool”!

I liked that fact that the toy isn’t so big that it’s a hassle to carry around.  The age recommendation is 6-12. For the younger end the kids will be fine with just being able to control the robot with the drive feature on the remote and for the older kids there is more depth with the online universe and multiple battle features on the remote. So, I really liked the fact that is can be a multidimensional toy for different age ranges.

I think Wrexx would be our guy too, especially since he's red too!

  2. abi says:

    Kodar is our pick!

  3. Heather Velasquez says:

My eight yr. old has a RoboSapien, a VERY cool robot. It is so popular in our home…even my four yr old daughter wants to play with it. Kodar looks like he would be a good match for our house. I think my daughter would get this one though… This would make for less fights between siblings at my house!

  4. SraGonzalez says:

I failed to mention my son loves red and green so I know he will say he wants Alpha and Wrexx, but my husband will use our newborn son to say he wants Kodar.

I would love to see these in action.

  5. SraGonzalez says:
