MommyReview: I was immediately impressed with these new storage boxes from Rubbermaid. These are not your mama’s storage boxes! They are heavy duty, though they look elegant. But they are great for inside storage. When you think of Rubbermaid you think of rubber storage containers but these containers are for showing off and showcasing. My favorite feature about the boxes is the flex dividers, you can create spaces but popping the dividers in or out to customize your needs for the storage box. Each different sized box creates a solution for different items that can need storage around the house. From Pencils to magazines. Another fabulous point is that the boxes can be nested inside each other is they are not in use, or what I did was left my larger box open to storage my smaller boxes in, so when company came over I could keep my everyday items out of site. These work great for our family but I can see them also being highly beneficial for apartment dwelling families who do not have a lot of storage space. So get to dividing and conquering and grab a bento box!

Recommendation: Great fashionable storage solution. When you don’t want to have to hide your storage but make it a part of your everyday living look to Bento.

Throwing the perfect Girls Night In {GNI}

As with any party picking a theme is essential, it gives you a direction to go in.

For a Girls Night In with my friends I choose to have a SPA night to RELAX . Plus what mom doesn’t need some pampering?

You don’t have to go over the top when throwing a party, it can be done with ease. Putting up some cute decor around the house that goes with your theme is always fun for you and your guests.

Since it was a girly girl night with cocktails and facials I picked up these adorable napkins at my local market, of all places. They are called ThemeNaps and we picked a design called Champagne Social… fitting really. Everyone ohhh’d and ahhh’d over the adorable designs. The napkins are folded in such a way that they can also stand up on their own, in which they can be used as a place card; just write the names across the dress and voila adorable placeholders!

I had a USANA partner Kelly Burdick come in to showcase the SENSE SPA line and we did facials while testing out these amazing products. The Rice Bran Polisher was my favorite product of the night. It made my skin feel so smooth, I could not stop touching it. It felt like I had been given a facial from a 5 star spa (all in the comfort of my own home). I offered Smirnoff Cocktails Tuscan Lemonade (which are already pre-made, just serve in a pretty glass and you’re friends will toast to you) for cocktails. The Tuscan Lemonade Cocktails are my new favorite drink! So delish! You can make it look pretty by throwing in some lemon slices and putting sugar on the rim of your cocktail glasses and you are the hostess with the mostess! After pampering and many cocktails, we gathered on the couches and played the game Girls Night Box of Questions by The Box Girls. These are fun, sassy questions that create fun conversation. It is a great way to laugh, find out some new and unusual information about your close friends or get to know some new friends. It’s a great ice breaker and also a fun party game.

UPDATE on Seventh Generation Laundry Detergent

In our article here….. we started out the testing process of the laundry detergent on a load of WHITES…. it was the WHITEST Whites we have ever had (even with using bleach – this topped that!). It left the clothes bright, fresh, and clean and there was no skin irritation after wearing the clothing washed in this product. We are thoroughly impressed and will be buying more of this product.

Seventh Generation Natural 2X Laundry Liquid Detergent HE

In our MommyReview household we have a HE (high-efficiency) washing machine. HE machines usually require 1/3 of what a standard machine uses in detergent. It is important to not over-soap your loads of laundry. Seventh Generation using plant-derived agents and enzymes for cleaning power that is safer for our environment both in-home and out. I often wonder what chemicals are rubbing against my families skin. Do you wonder ? With Seventh Generation – their product ingredients are listed in plain English, they don’t try to sugar coat what is in their product, they don’t try to hide it with big words the normal consumer does not understand, they help you understand what is in their products so you can make an educated decision for your self and family. We tested a sample of the Blue Eucalyptus and Lavender liquid laundry detergent. When I first opened the product I loved the clean, crisp smell, that brought back memories of sitting under the silver-dollar eucalyptus tree that took up a corner of my childhood backyard. I liked that I could understand what ingredients were in the product and that it explained for HE machines only a 1/3 of the product needs to be used. Many HE detergents do not explain this and people over use the detergent. In our household we all have sensitive skin, so it was also a plus that there are no dyes in the product as well. The directions also gave helpful tips on saving energy, wash in cold. A HUGE PLUS is that in a worst case scenario if a child attempted to drink this product, or opened and spilled it – IT IS NOT POISONOUS! Now – this does not mean to go out and consume the product but it is comforting knowing that a product is safe around your children (just in case!). We are testing this product on a load of Whites to see how the cleaning power works, so we are off to finish the load to report back on how are WHITE load comes out….

MommyReview tested out the Shuttle Imagination…The kids were excited to launch into space! We had DaddyReviewers put together this spaceship to get ready to launch, which took them about 20 minutes to put together with the help of space aliens! Then the shuttle was ready to decorate… All astronauts and scientists got on board, it quickly became a family event with everyone drawing, coloring, decorating and coming up with ideas for the outside of the box! We loved the pre-cut doors, windows and shapes that added character to the cardboard shuttle. Just giving the ReviewKids the blank canvas to create their own personalized shuttle was worth the playhouse! It created hours of on going fun. Once the Shuttle was ready the fly we took off into outer space where we met friendly aliens and found cool moon rocks. The inside is fun and comfy enough for kids, the ReviewKids loved it so much they put sleeping bags and pillows in their spaceship and camped out in outer space. The playhouse is very sturdy and well constructed and withheld little and big hands playing with it. It was also easy enough to move from one location to another and big enough for small children to stand up inside of.

Some other great points is that they are made in the USA and KidsCraft Playhouses will donate 100 of their structures to local charities like the Ronald McDonald House, Boys & Girls Club of America and after-school programs. The company will also donate 5% of sales to these organizations’ international headquarters. Donations will also go to Shriners Hospitals for Children®, a network of 22 non-profit pediatric hospitals across in the US, Canada and Mexico.
