MTV is 30!

It’s hard to believe MTV is 30! Boy, have they come along way… Have I really grown up under the influence of MTV my whole life?! WOW it seems so. They’ve changed so much from that man on the moon with music blaring to more shows than music. It will be interesting to see how MTV grows the next 30 years and influences my daughters generation. From Beavis and Butthead, Daria and Real World, bringing music into our homes, to the Jersey Shore… We can only wonder what next?

Ahhhh English language at it’s best.

I feel sorry for my daughter who’s learning to read right now, we have the most random language ever LOL

Back to School Advice – Go with the flow!

The best advice I can offer students and parents for surviving the school year, comes from my own experience with school. This year will be my first year as a PARENT to a school aged child, so I’m anxious. But my normal life philosophy is to roll with the punches, if your attitude is good then what happens good or bad, can always be turned into a positive. So try not to stress too much!

One way to not stress, is to know that your valuables are safe, so get a good lock, for a safe (if you’re in a dorm) or your locker (if you’re in high school).

Chasing Fire by Nora Roberts

Typical Roberts novel, good characters, suspense and a little romance (i.e. One sex scene). The ending was a little abrupt for me but I enjoyed learning more about smoke jumpers as my husband use to be a Hot Shot back in the day.

Holy hotness and non stop action! Can I get my own US Deputy Marshall ?! While the romance was sizzling it was the action that made the book sizzle for me. You feel like you are right there with the hero and heroine. This book makes you hit every emotion from heart stopping to pulse pounding. This is my first time reading this authors work and I will definitely be going back for MORE! Randi @ MommyReview.com

Not too erotic….seemed a little off that the characters shag anything that moves but also want love…. Hmmm just didn’t jive. The characters and background could have been developed more. All in all this book was an easy read but failed to move me in any way.
